On Wednesday, October 13^th, Arrowhead had their annual senior class breakfast, picture, and assembly. Starting at 7:30, while the ninth, tenth, and eleventh graders took practice SATs, the seniors were mingling, eager to down a bagel and Danimals squeeze yogurt.

“The breakfast was good, but what I was looking forward to was the speaker at the assembly,” said an enthusiastic senior, Sydney Cook.

The seniors shuffled into the gym attempting to sit with every single friend in their group yelling, pushing, and yelling some more. Anywhere from fifteen to twenty minutes later the seniors where approached by Eddie Slowikowski.

Eddie is a traveling motivational speaker; he visits anywhere from schools, to major corporations. However, Slowikowski is not your run of the mill “your dreams will come true” speaker. He involved the crowd from the beginning starting with a simple dance to “I Gotta Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas.

“Usually by like twenty minutes, id be either sleeping or texting during an assembly. With Eddie, he kept me interested and I really enjoyed him,” said senior, Kelly Gross.

The assembly is a great turn out every year. The kids enjoy Slowikowski and always have positive feedback. Immediately when the seniors walked through the doors they had nothing but great attitude.

Ending on a high note, senior Steven Benna adds,

“Eddie is a great man; he made our senior breakfast worthwhile.”
