At-a-glance

It’s finally spring. For most freshman, sophomores, and juniors this means a long summer of bonfires and days at the beach, but for seniors, this is the summer before the rest of their lives.

When the day comes to move out of the house, it’s surreal. Arrowhead students have been anticipating this day they set foot in South Campus. Not only are they leaving behind their home and family, but their also leaving their best friends and every single memory that came along with them. But, there is a way to remember.

When it comes to remembering the important stuff, people say a picture is worth a thousand words. So, start a scrapbook. It sounds lame, but trust me. It can be of you and your friends on senor skip day or even the massive snowball fights that took place on one of Arrowheads snow days. It doesn’t matter what the picture is of. When you’re thirty and looking back on your high school days, you’ll be happy that you have a way to rewind and go back to a time where your biggest worry was whether the Warhawks would win the State Championship or not.

Senor year is also the perfect time to get everything off your chest. Tell the girl you’ve been “just friends” with that you’re crazy about her. Or tell that guy how you used to cheat off him every day in English freshman year. Whatever you have to say, just say it. This is your last chance.

If you’re one of the many who haven’t enjoyed high school, then I’m sorry for you. Because, looking past all the drama and stress, Arrowhead has a lot to offer, and it’s not too late. Students need to take advantage of the rest of their time with the people they care about… and the place they’ll come to miss.
