The main attraction for the 2010 senior skip day is the showdown between the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs on Friday April 23^rd at Miller Park.  

One idea is to go tailgating at Miller Park even if you don’t have tickets to the game.  Just bring a grill, brats, bean bag toss (or blongo ball), blast Bob Uecker broadcasting the Brewers game.  Harass Cubs fans after the Brewers administer a beat down. If you wish to tailgate, go early and check the weather updates because there is a chance of showers later in the day. 

            Another sports related activity for Friday could be to go out early and play golf.  Waking up early on your day off is not idealistic, but courses should be completely empty and will have plenty of time to hit a few more balls on each hole. A similar sport to golfing, frolfing, is also a great idea and not only is it fun, but it’s free.

            If the weather is still expected to be unfavorable, you can always stay at home and watch a movie.  A good new released movie to rent is the Blind Side.  A true story about a football player struggling to get his life going and is adopted by a family in his school, and ends up playing for the Baltimore Ravens.

            Another indoor activity for Friday is going to go to the YMCA.  If enough people are skipping you could start a pickup game on the basketball court or lift some weights while you wait for the weather to improve.

            However you spend your skip day is up to you, just don’t forget to spend at least part of it watching or playing sports.
