At-a-glance

As the Class of 2010 moves on to bigger things in life, memories of senior year will be remembered and cherished.  The juniors will have to fill their shoes as the seniors move on.  Many juniors have questions as to what they should expect for next year, and luckily, some seniors have answers.

One huge tip that seniors give to juniors is to finish strong until the end of the school year.  We all know that senioritis can affect this tip of advice, but motivation and ambition can overcome laziness.  Remember, colleges can pull scholarships due to poor grades.

“I’d tell juniors to push through to the end and work hard because it pays off,” said Megan Culhane.

Another point brought up by seniors is to not overload on difficult classes.  By doing this, you will have no social life and senior year will be miserable.  After all, your last year of high school should be fun.

“Don’t overload with five A.P.’s,” said Addy Javes. “You have to enjoy your senior year instead of stressing too much about school.”

Finally, seniors had a few things to say about college applications.  Although they aren’t due for awhile after the school year starts, most think it’d be wise to start the process sooner than later.  Writing essays hastily won’t produce the quality work one needs to get into college.

“Don’t put off doing your college applications,” said Anna Jordan. “It’s not fun writing a two page essay the night before it’s due.”

These are a few suggestions seniors have.  However, the consensus reached by most seniors is that juniors should have fun their senior year while still putting forth hard work.
