At-a-glance

‘Oh, What a Night’ is true! The Arrowhead Broadway Company performed its masterfully put together Musical Theater Nights March 19-21.  If I had to give Musical Theater Nights a rating, I’d give it 10 out of 10.

Highlights of the first act were the “Cabaret,” starring sophomore Allie Babich and “Mama Who Bore Me” starring the senior Broadway women and accompanied by cellist, junior Jenna Pepitone.

The second act began with an old familiar tune, ‘Step in Time.’  The entire Company wore black clothes and carried a chimney sweeper.  The song was expertly choreographed by Scott Michaels.

A personal favorite from act two was the ‘Cell Block Tango,’ from the musical Chicago.  The featured performers were Abby Taubner, Makayla Maddux, Allie Wojciechowski, Lindsey Phelps, Angela Darrow, and Alexandra Plath.

The final song, ‘Children of Eden,’ could probably go down as one of the best finales the Broadway Company has ever seen. The blend of sopranos, altos, tenor, bases, and baritone created a sound too beautiful for words.
