At-a-glance

The fact that Mozart started his musical career by age 5 places him in the same category with 13-year-old Scooter Smiff, who also began his musical career at a young age.

This young R&B hopeful does more than just rap; he also dances, writes, choreographs, and acts. Yet somehow he still claims to be a “regular kid”. However, performing on “Showtime” at the Apollo at age 5 is not exactly regular, more like extraordinary.

Scooter’s big break was surprisingly not his performance at the Apollo, but actually being introduced to R&B star Chris Brown. Without even auditioning, Scooter was chosen to perform with Brown on his latest performance on the Grammy’s. Since then Scooter has been touring with Chris Brown and was even featured in Brown’s music videos for “Kiss, Kiss” and “Wall to Wall’.

With such outstanding connections, it’s not surprising that Chris Brown is featured on Scooter Smiff’s debut album, “Head of My Class”, along with T-Pain. Besides being the moving force behind the upcoming album, Chris Brown is also producing along with Pow Da Don.

The single “Head of My Class” is upbeat and fast-paced. The chorus is sure to have you humming. Chris Brown’s solo, however, is probably bound to become people’s favorite part of the song. The other song featuring another big star is “Ride That Scooter” featuring T-Pain. After listening to “Head of My Class”, this song continues to carry the same mood and upbeat tempo.

Don’t allow Scooter Smiff’s age or size fool you, his talent is undeniable.
