After finishing conference dual meets undefeated, Arrowhead boys’ varsity tennis team lost to Catholic Memorial in the conference tourinment.

Catholic Memorial won the tournament with 31 points; Arrowhead finished just behind Memorial with 25 points; and Waukesha West took third place with 21 points.

“(Catholic Memorial) did a great job,” said Arrowhead head Coach Russ Trimble. “They got all o their guys through the first round, over to the right (side of the bracket), and that was key for them. For us, it was tough to catch up. We only beat them 4-3 during duals, so it was going to be tough; the team has to just pick it up and go from there.”

Arrowhead senior Will Krieger won conference number one singles, defeating Catholic Memorial’s Kevin Rasmussen 6-1, 4-6, (10-4). The number one doubles team of Craig Caliendo and Ricky Bero took first after defeating Kettle Moraine’s Tim Huser and Charlie Rose 6-0, 6-3. Charlie Friedrichs and Johnny Young defeated Catholic Memorial’s Alex Akre and Josh Rockey 6-2, 6-0 to take first in conference.

Other top finishers from Arrowhead include the number two doubles team of Luke Sausen and Steve Wolfsohn who took fifth at conference; at number four singles Chris Hollo captured third place and C.J. Schwind at number three singles finished in fifth place.



The Arrowhead Varsity Boys’ Tennis team defeated Pius High School with an unbelievable score of 7-0 on May 1st.

The dominating lineup included Jack Swan at number one singles, Will Krieger at two singles; Matt Lunde at three singles, Chris Hollo at four singles. Not to be outdone by the singles players, the doubles lineup included Craig Caliendo and Rick Bero at one doubles; Steve Wolfsohn and Luke Sausen at two doubles; and Charlie Friedrichs and John Young at three doubles.

The varsity boys are currently undefeated in dual conference meets with a record of 6-0. Their final dual conference meet is on Tuesday against Mukwonago. The Conference tournament is scheduled for May 10 at Woyhan Center starting at 8 a.m.



The Arrowhead varsity boys’ tennis team beat Mukwonago on May 6th with a dominating score of 6-1.

Number one singles Jack Swan and two singles Will Krieger both won their matches. Three singles Matt Lunde lost his singles match, but number four singles Chris Hollo won his match. The doubles line up was undefeated with Craig Caliendo and Rick Bero at one doubles; Steve Wolfsohn and Luke Sausen at two doubles; and Charlie Friedrichs and John Young at three doubles.

Arrowhead is currently undefeated in dual conference meets with a score of 7-0 making them conference champions. The classic eight conference tournament is scheduled for May 10th starting at 8 a.m.
