Three years in the making and it is finally complete, the Arrowhead high ropes course is almost ready for use.

The ropes course was funded by a federal grant from the United States Department of Education. The applicants were required to fill out extensive amounts of paperwork on things such as the use the high ropes course would be getting at your school. Arrowhead was one of many to apply for the grant but it was one of the few who were honored with receiving it.

The high ropes course is made up of two parts. The first, the high ropes, which includes multiple features like a cat walk, a giant ladder, a giant swing, a rock wall, and a giant zip line that connects you to the other section of the new course, the low ropes course. The low ropes course is made up of a series of challenges that build team work and problem solving as you make your way through.

The high ropes course will be used this summer for the summer school Adventure gym class. It will also be used heavily in the 2008-2009 school year in Adventure gym. But there is no reason to panic for those who are not signed up for Adventure gym; the new Arrowhead high ropes course will be incorporated into the schedule of most gym classes at Arrowhead said Claudia Kelm, an Arrowhead gym teacher.
