Just before the ending of SLI our teacher asked us to interview someone about his or her experience in the course. I decided to do it to my best friend Evelina who is also my classmate. So, Evelina, an years old girl from Lithuania, is just one of the 325 students attending Summer Language Institute in Klaipeda this summer.



- Hi! Evelina, what do you like the most in SLI?

- Well, I mostly like my teachers who are open - mind, understanding, friendly and always willing to help. What is more, the atmosphere between teachers and students is very natural. And of course, activities after class.

- Yes, and what kind of activities you have already tried?

- “Tea and games” twice a week and the talent show. I think the barbeque party I enjoy the most because of the food and special games, also meeting those new faces in informal area were exciting.

- And what kind of people have you met?

- Various people and from Lithuania and from other courtiers. I understood that students from foreign courtiers is thinking in the same way, and it doesn’t depend on what country you are from.

- So, how it is like living far away from home for you?

- Good! (laughing) However I have to take care of myself. For example, buying food, preparing it, worrying about going everywhere on time by public transport.

- It sounds that it should take more responsibility than living at home?

- Yes, I have to be responsible as I have to go to the lessons on time, also prepare for them doing home works even through there’s no marks.

- So, you are wasting your holiday free time, aren’t you?

- Not at all, because I want to improve my English skills and it doesn’t matter where and when I do it.

- What skills exactly you would like to improve?

-Probably, all of them. Mm.. maybe speaking and writing the most.

- OK. Could you tell me about your main minds here in SLI?

- Yes? I really engoyed time spending in SLI and lessons which were quite hard, but very interesting. I think I would like to return to the SLI next year, in summer.
