Florida Gators destroyed the Ohio State Buckeyes 41-14 in the BCS Championship Bowl game.

After only 16 seconds into the game and Ohio State up 7-0, I figured the game was over, but was I way wrong on that assumption. Ted Ginn Jr. ran the opening kick off 93 yards for a touchdown and sent a shockwave to everyone who was watching the game. After the kickoff return, Ohio State had one of the worst performances in championship history.

Troy Smith, Ohio State’s quarterback went 4/14 with 35 yards and 1 interception. Heisman winner performance? I think not, After that game Chris Leak was looking like the Heisman Trophy winning, going 9/9 with 99 yards and a touchdown to start the game for the gators. The Gators offense completely destroyed the so called best Ohio State defense in years with a total of 370 yards. Backup quarterback Tim Tebow looked more like a Heisman winner than Smith did..

The Gator’s defense stopped Ohio State everyway possible. They held The Buckeyes to a total of 82 yards, and forced 2 turnovers. I’m not going to say that Ginn Jr. could of rallied the Buckeyes back from that large of a margin, but clearly he was missed in the Ohio State offense. The only sign of life Ohio State had besides the kick return, was Antonio Pittman’s 18 yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

Even though Boise State is the only undefeated team left, they do not have a chance to keep up with Florida or even Ohio State football programs. They do not have the fire power or defense that both have especially the weapons, Florida showed they had last night. Boise State did not deserve to play in the BCS game, even though an undefeated season. The hardest game Boise State had besides their bowl game was against Hawaii and they barely even won that game.
