As off December 11th, the Bucks have an overall record of 8-12, and 3-8 in conference games. The Bucks are in the hardest division in the Eastern Conference with Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago and Indiana all championship contenders.

Michael Redd, one of the best shooters in the NBA, is 3rd in the league for scoring (29.2), which is one of the only things going well for the Bucks right now. Hopefully, Redd will be voted to the All-Star game again this year if all goes well. Bobby Simmons is also out for the year. Last year he was one of the top scorers for Milwaukee. The addition of Charlie Villanueva and Ruben Patterson is definitely helping the Bucks pick up the slack for the loss and TJ Ford and Simmons.

One of the sparks coming off the bench for the Bucks is Charlie Bell, who is averaging 10.7 points and 3 assists. Dan Gadzuric is also contributing for the Bucks off the bench with 4.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. As long has the Bucks’ bench isn’t performing up to par, the Bucks will not make a push for a playoff spot. Maurice Williams, the new point since Ford departed, is having a real solid season, averaging 15.6 points, 5.10 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game.

Even though it is early in the season, and I am a Bucks’ fan, I definitely do not see the Bucks making the playoffs this year. Maybe if they make a few trades this year and add depth to their bench, they can turn this season around and end it on a good note.
