The Warhawks’ varsity girls’ basketball team snagged yet another swish Tuesday night defeating Waukesha West 53-25.

Ellie Enghofer had a great game coming off the bench for the Warhawks. She had 4 points and 5 rebounds in the fourth quarter. Ashley Peck also had a big night. She’s accountable for 7 of the Hawk’s 53 points, and 3 steals. Katie Hackbart added 17 points and Kaylee Cardinal and Morgan Sacharski both had 7.

Things are definitely looking good for the Warhawks. Tuesday’s game improved them to a 5-1 record overall, 3-1 conference.

Next up for the girls will be the Niki Doedens Classic in Cedarburg at 5:45 on December 28.

Girls beat KM

The Warhawks’ varsity girl’s basketball team walked out victorious Friday night with a 49-31 victory over Kettle Moraine.

“Coming off of that loss to Pius, we really had a chip on our shoulder and we came out fierce tonight,” said Arrowhead junior guard Katie Hackbart. And fierce they were. After gaining an 11-4 advantage early in the first quarter, the Warhawks didn’t trail the visiting Lasers all night. The girls’ ended the half with a 22-16 lead. The Lasers came out in the third quarter with solid defense, bringing the game to a 24-24 tie late in the third. However, thanks to the Lasers’ 23% shooting average for the night, the Hawks were able to overcome their laziness and get back in the swing.

Kaylee Cardinal had 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists and Morgan Sacharski added 6 points, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 3 rebounds.

“Both girls had very good all around games for us,” said Coach Ron Reichle.

Never underestimate the skill of junior guard Katie Hackbart, who led all players with a season high of 15 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Sally Colby also had a big night for the Warhawks adding 9 big rebounds.

As a team the Warhawks made 19 of 38 shots. Only 4 of those 19 shots went unassisted, a great statistic for the Warhawks. The win Friday night advanced the Warhawks to a 4-1 overall record, 2-1 in conference.



AHS 57 WBW 42

The Arrowhead varsity girls’ basketball team started their season with a bang last Saturday night defeating West Bend West 57-42 in a non-conference match.

Katie Hackbart led the Warhawks across the board. She dropped a team high of 12 points against the Spartans. Kailee Cardinal added 10 points and Ashley Peck and Morgan Sacharski both put up 9 for the night. Hackbart also led the team in rebounds Saturday night with a total of 6. Amanda Sikora and Sally Colby both had 5.

Arrowhead wins first conference game

The Arrowhead girls’ varsity basketball team had another big night Friday, December 8th, winning their first conference match against Waukesha South 39-24.

The Warhawks dominated, outscoring the Blackshirts17-6 in the first half and allowing South only 2 points throughout the second quarter. Filling in for Arrowheads 6’3” senior Stephanie Werry, Sally Colby and Stephanie Berg led the Warhawks with 8 points apiece, and Morgan Sacharski and Katie Hackbart each added 6. Hackbart also grabbed 7 rebounds Friday night.

“Sally Colby, Stephanie Berg and Amanda Sikora are picking up a lot of Stephanie’s minutes,” Reichle said. “We still want Stephanie Werry back, but it’s great to have players that can step up and take her spot. All three have been playing well for us.”



Arrowhead’s win against South put them at 3-0 overall with a 1-0 C8 Conference record.

The Warhawks have a big conference game this Tuesday, December 12th, at Pius.



Arrowhead defeats Watertown

Arrowhead’s girls’ varsity basketball team walked out with another win after this Tuesday’s game against visiting Watertown 60-41.

After last Friday’s game was cancelled due to snow, the Warhawks came ready to play on Tuesday. The Warhawks didn’t trail the Goslings once all night thanks to a great team effort. Sally Colby led the team with 12 points, Katie Hackbart added another 9, and Ashley Peck and Morgan Sacharski both added in 8. Hackbart had another big night leading the team in both rebounds (7) and assists (4).
