Have you ever read a book that captivated you and just you couldn’t put it down? Well, this is a book that will keep you turning page after page, forcing you wonder what will happen next. The book is called “Carrier of the Mark” by Leigh Fallon. The book mixes ancient mystery powers, secret societies, and organizations to create a beautiful love story. When young Megan moves with her father to Ireland and meets this mysterious boy named Adam that goes to her new school suspicions start to unfold. Even though, she was warned by many of the other girls, she is immediately drawn to Adam. Adam does not care for the girls at this school but everyone seems to know another mysterious story to tell about him and his family.
Whenever, when he sees Megan he tends to act differently, as if she was some unknown person out to destroy him. He lives with his twin sister, older brother and guardian. They don’t like to socialize with others in town and usually to keep to themselves. They seem to be very shy and oddly mysterious people really. Soon enough, Megan starts to experience very weird, strange and mysterious things that happen around Adam and his sister. She begins to wonder, what can this be about? You start to wonder what can be so strange between Adam and his family.
Overall, the book was really good. I took one look at the cover of the book and I immediately drawn by the design; it made me wonder what this book can really be about. As soon as I started reading it, I couldn’t stop, the book was pulling me through each chapter at a blazing speed. Even though it was a bit of a “fast- read” book, every moment that the characters were put together in threatening situations made me want to know what would happen next. I recommend this book to anyone who is willing to pass their time reading a book that not only has a great plot line but will definitely make you want to read on. The genre of this book is paranormal romance, similar to the Twilight series. But trust me; this book would captivate you even more. So read it, I dare you.
