The big win kept the Dragons tied for first place in the District 27-5A chase with 3-0 records. Both teams meet for the first time this season Tuesday, Jan. 27 at the Alamo Convocation Complex. Game time is set for 8 p.m. The winner of this game could be the overall district champion in mid February.

Southwest, riding a five game win streak, is now 24 and 3 three for the season. The Dragons maintained their number one ranking in the city by the San Antonio Express News. The Dragons have been the number one team since the second week of the basketball season, which dates back to Nov. 18.
The next home game for Southwest is Friday, Jan. 30 against Smithson Valley. Tip off is set for 7:30 p.m. The Rangers are tied for second in the district with a 2-1 record.
