Ever been picked on? Been the fool in someones practical joke all because you dress different? Called names? Do you ever notice that people today judge and pick on others that aren’t like them? The question is why?
People now a days, usually kids and teens pick on their piers for the simplest things. Such as clothes, hobbies, hair style, looks, people going out with it’s their own gender or not, weight, height, race, grades, etc., all these and more cause people to get bullied or made fun of. But why is that? Perhaps jealousy or just looking down on that person, maybe just for the fun of seeing someone cry, even if these are the reasons it truly doesn’t make sense. In other words what’s so wrong with being yourself?
Even just standing there it seems somebody will make fun of that person for it. Doesn’t Mom say “ be yourself and everything will be fine” well apparently being yourself is either under rated or over rated. It seems now a days we are searching for the perfect image whether it’s a boyfriend or a girlfriend or just a plan friend. It’s more understandable for a boyfriend or girlfriend but a plan friend it shouldn’t really matter what they look like because it should be under the skin that counts. Personality seems to never matter anymore it’s all about looks and what they wear. Like if a person wears black a lot everybody automatically assumes that that person is a goth. What if that person isn’t goth and just likes black?
Also what’s wrong with being gay or going out with someone that isn’t that popular? It’s truly annoying what should it matter it a person falls in love with their own gender or someone that isn’t that popular? Love doesn’t really have boundaries which means it doesn’t matter who a person falls in love with no one can control who they fall in love with it’s just the way things go. Let alone just because a person is gay doesn’t make them a bad person, they eat, sleep, work, etc. there is no real difference. It’s just stupid if you love a person it doesn’t matter. If they love each other enough then they probably don’t care who makes fun of them. Plus it’s no one else's business.
Over weight people are good people and yet we have a really bad tendency to make fun of them. Yes they are larger then others but is that truly their fault? Some yes but others have it in their family and no matter what they do it will always be there unless they seek special help which more then likely costs lots of money that they or their parents can’t afford. What’s wrong with being a little large? It’s so annoying how our idea of beauty is being skinny or a personal favorite guys and girls that have fat in places people like and showing it off to attract the opposite gender, this is usually noticed in women. If you have a good body girls please don’t make yourselves look like sex objects it’s just pointless and demeans yourself. Anyway these visions of beauty are wrong just about anything should be embraced as beauty. Fat people are just like skinny people they can do anything a skinny person can. As the saying goes “big people need lovin too.”
Of course this isn’t just in kids or teens this is in adults too. Adults say mean things about their coworkers and gossip about them. Teachers do it to students that aren’t their favorites, or just plan out ignore them. Adults actually can do worse then kids at times including physical damage which is worse then words. So don’t just point the figure at the kids adults are just as equal to blame on such a subject.
To be blunt; be yourself. No one should care what other people think if your comterble then that’s all that should matter. These people who do the picking on are just jerks with no life or see people in their own image and they should be dealt with by being told to shut up and get a life half price at wal-mart. Only you can change yourself no one else has that ability to do that. After more people won’t accept you if your someone your not.
