The Eagles dominated the Cowboys under the lights on Homecoming night, 55 to 6. The varsity players got us off to a great start and the junior varsity players lead us to a victorious ending. Aaron Warth, Brent Terrell, Davis Judd, Derek Vandervelde, Ryan Bennett, Bolton Howes, Alex Merisko, and kicker Dan Kelly all put the points up on the board with the help of their team. It was not such a great night for David Lewis though. He was pulled off the field right before half time, and is now out for the rest of the season with a strained knee.
Although it was snowing, the Dakota Ridge fans packed the stands, cheering and screaming the football team on to their win. Dakota Ridge had a great turn out, but the same cannot be said for the Denver West Cowboys. Filling their stands was less than 20 people. Closing in on the end of the season, the Eagles are sure to cream some more teams before they are finished!
