     The Cross Country Hugoton Invitational turned out to be a fun and eventful tournament September 19th. The girl’s 4K team placed 3rd. Consisting of hard working girls like Aubrey Hamlin who completed her run in 17:07 placing 7th. Marina Neira in 17:35 placing 11th; Akela Miller was 21st with a time off 18:06; Ashley Goode made 19:11 receiving 36th. Alondra Merez came in 37th with a time of 19:13; and Sharon Gonzalez finished 48th in 19:44.
     Hugoton’s boys 5K team placed 3rd as well.  Heber Jimenez placed 2nd with a time of 16:55; Patrick Weaver was next in 16th with a time of 18:04; placing 26th was Laton Heger in 18:37; Derek Schnittker came in 34th with a time of 19:23; Rafael Cruz followed in 35th with 19:30; and Chase Hittle finished 38th in 19:37.
     The girl’s JV 4K team performed well with Kristyn Campbell running in 20:00, placing 6th.  and Nancy Camacho in  22:25, placing 14th. For the boy’s JV 5k team there was Jacob Martin-20:07, 15th place, Cristian Escalara-20:25, 19th, Carlos Dominguez-20:48, 22nd, Daniel Martin-20:49, 23rd, Shane Lowry-20:52, 25th, Nic Goode-21:50, 26th, Blake Sondergaard-21:52, 38th, Lawson Fiss-22:42, 44th, Clay Mills-23:23, 46th, and finally Kolton Decker, 23:55, 57th.
