I've always loved photography.  Whether it is nature shots or people shots, I love it all.  My sophomore year I heard the Torch staff was in need of photographers.  Larry G. was the current Photo Editor at the time and he had all of the want-to-be staff photographers "audition".  I was super nervous but I did my best and a couple days later Larry told me I was on staff.  For the next 2 years I would get my photo assignments from Larry and I always looked forward to seeing my photos in the Torch.  Every photo assignment was different which kept things exciting.  At the end of my junior year I applied to be photo editor and and was given the position.
