At-a-glance

Freshmen: the only people in the world, who find it necessary to stand in the middle of the hallway blabbing to another person about everything under the sun, no matter how unimportant it may be.

Why freshmen find this to be such an important task, the world will never know. I’m just glad that we all grow out of it once that last day of freshman year ends, and we enter the new found maturity of being a sophomore.

No matter what grade or age a person is, they were once one of “those freshmen.” We all were, but once we all become those glorified sophomore, it tends to become extremely ridiculous.

Schools should just make designated talking spots so people don’t have to maneuver their ways through the masses of people.

All in all though, the school day would just be so much easier if the “stinkin’ freshmen” would just learn to move to the side.

Reading, I love it!

During the summer, I will read anywhere from three to four books per week on average, sometimes even more. I enjoy reading a lot because it’s a way of escaping the real world and experiencing a new one.

During the school year, I don’t get as much free time as I would like to read, so I will normally only end up reading one to two books per week or week and a half.

I have never really had an all-time favorite author, but I have had the same favorite book for the past few years, and that is The Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger. When first reading the book, it made absolutely no sense to me, so I re-read it and realized all its humor and amazing stories.

In closing, reading is a great hobby and sometimes can relieve a person’s stress, but ultimately, it lets me encounter a different “world” and live a whole new adventure.

Flowing ink, strong words, and great memories are all things that come to mind when thinking about my writing habits.

Every night, I right in my personal journal about all the interesting things that have happened to me that day, no matter how good or bad they may have been.

Writing all these memories onto a piece of paper allows me to reflect upon them again and again and enjoy all the great things that have happened in life and sometimes even learn a lesson or two from past experiences.
