I was in the publications room at Shores in September, and a graduate came in to pick up her yearbook. She got the yearbook and said, “UUUGGHH! This thing is hideous, but the people inside will make up for that.”
She then proceeded to walk out the door without apologizing.
These people are the people I do not like, and I am irritated by their behavior.
This girl was like countless others who say things without thinking of the people it will affect.
The irritation stems not as much from the transgression but more so from the lack of apologetic behavior.
Normal, considerate people would have said after her statement: “I sincerely apologize; I did not mean to say that. I meant to say, ‘The time and effort the yearbook class spent on this produced a product that I am proud to possess.’”
I guess some people just aren’t considerate.
I try to apologize for everything that I say that may hurt others. It is not difficult to think about what you say before you say it though.

Reading is something that can increase the thinking capacity for the mind and increase one’s potential for success.
Studying the great imagination of an author can provide the reader with a great many ideas to compliment their creations. Reading is a pleasure for some, and can be a hassle for others.
My reading consists of the classics and school related readings. I do not have much time for reading as I focus on the other forms of media, e.g. movies, games, and television.
When I do find the time to read, I like to read graphic novels and the occasional classic that is regarded as a masterpiece.

Writing well is a great skill to possess in academic endeavors, but not that much else.
As a high school student, I view writing as something that I may not do much outside of the realm of academia.
If I become a writer, however, I will value my previous composition lessons, i.e. English classes.
Writing is something that I do not enjoy in my studies, but I find it to be unavoidable in the scholastic world.
